BFOA Brings Media Mixers to Los Angeles!

Following the success of its Media Mixers in New York and Chicago, The Broadcasters Foundation of America (BFOA) is bringing the popular networking event to Los Angeles on Wednesday, October 23 from 6pm-8pm PST at the Universal Studios Hollywood Lot. Co-hosts for the Los Angeles Media Mixer are Colleen Williams, NBC4 News Anchor, and Valentine, host of Valentine In The Morning on 104.3MYFM. Entertainment for the Media Mixer will be announced shortly.

The BFOA Media Mixers serve a three-pronged purpose:

  • to celebrate the camaraderie and connection within the broadcast community:
  • to mix and mingle with peers, on-air talent, and industry executives;
  • and to increase awareness of the Broadcasters Foundation charitable mission to junior-level broadcast professionals.

“I’m very excited about our first west coast Media Mixer,” said Tim McCarthy, President of the Broadcasters Foundation. “We’ve had remarkable success in New York and Chicago, bringing awareness of the mission of the Foundation to a new generation of broadcasters. The young professionals who attend get a great deal of value out of it. We look forward to expanding our reach on the west coast.”

The BFOA Media Mixers are always free thanks to the support of sponsors from the broadcasting industry. The LA Media Mixer is sponsored by NBCUniversal Local and the California Broadcasters Association. Registration is required at www.broadcastersfoundation.org/mediamixers and space is limited.
