BFOA announces Leadership Breakfast Honorees


Awards to be Presented at the BFOA Leadership Breakfast, Wednesday, April 9, 7am, during NABShow in Las Vegas. This event is Complimentary to All Broadcasters.
Broadcasters Foundation of America, the only charity that provides aid to broadcasters in critical need, is proud to announce the recipients of the 2025 Leadership Awards, the BFOA Chairman’s Award, and the Lowry Mays Excellence in Broadcasting Award. The Awards will be presented at the BFOA Annual Breakfast, Wednesday, April 9, at 7 am, in the Encore Resort during the NAB Show in Las Vegas.
2025 Leadership Award honorees:

- David Kantor, former CEO of Urban One’s Radio Division
- Curtis LeGeyt, President & CEO, NAB
- Susan Larkin, COO, Audacy
- Dennis Lyle, President & CEO, Illinois Broadcasters Association
- Valari Staab, Chairman, NBCUniversal Local
Leadership Awards are given annually in recognition of career contributions to the broadcast industry and the community at large.
2025 Chairman’s Award honoree:
- Richard Bodorff, Senior Counsel, Wiley
The Chairman’s Award is chosen by the Foundation’s current Chair and honors a broadcaster who has made a significant impact on the Broadcasters Foundation of America.
2025 Lowry Mays Excellence in Broadcasting Award honoree:
- Scott Herman, former COO, CBS Radio, and Chair, Broadcasters Foundation of America
The Lowry Mays Excellence in Broadcasting Award is bestowed annually on an individual in broadcasting whose work exemplifies innovation, community service, advocacy, and entrepreneurship.
