Paramount’s Ray Hopkins Joins BFOA Board of Directors

New York, NY – July 1, 2025 – The Broadcasters Foundation of America (BFOA) has elected Ray Hopkins, President of Paramount U.S. Distribution, to its Board of Directors. An industry veteran, Hopkins has more than 30 years of experience and is known for his leadership and vision. He oversees Paramount’s domestic content distribution strategy, partnerships, and agreements with leading video providers and digital platforms across Paramount’s iconic portfolio of popular broadcast, cable, and streaming brands, including CBS, BET, Comedy Central, MTV, Nickelodeon, Paramount+, and Pluto TV. He is also responsible for all distribution for the CBS Television Network to more than 30 affiliated television station groups throughout the country.

Chair of the Broadcasters Foundation, Scott Herman, stated, “Ray is a leader in broadcasting, and we are grateful that he is donating his time and energy to our charitable mission. Ray’s addition to our Board of Directors will inspire fresh ideas on how to effectively reach broadcasters across America with our message of hope.”

Hopkins’ background includes over eight years (2005-2013) as Chief Operating Officer of YES Network (Yankees Entertainment and Sports Network), where he was responsible for the day-to-day operations of the company, including all distribution deals. Prior to joining the YES Network, Hopkins was EVP of Affiliate Sales and Marketing for Gemstar-TV Guide from 2002 to 2004. In addition to the Broadcasters Foundation, he serves on the board of the media industry’s T. Howard Foundation and has been inducted into the Broadcasting + Cable Hall of Fame for his distinguished career.
